Ayyampuzha situated at the north boundary of Ernakulam District. The population comes around 20000. Most of the people depend plantation corporation for their livelihood. This panchayath is famous for its natural beauty and it is near Athirappilly waterfall. There are picnic spots like Thumboormuzhy Dam, Prakruthi Gramam are in Ayyampuzha panchayathu. There is a High school run by the bamboo corporation. Pobson Group Metal Crusher is an important industrial firm in this panchayath.
