Ankanadu, was the former name Angamaly during the reign of territorial princes. Angamaly is famous in all the zones of cultural heritage and industrial developments. History tells the visit of St. Thomas in AD 52. There are many ancient churches in Angamaly. St. Gerorge Forane church is one among them. G. Sankarakuruppu was born at Nayathodu, near Angamaly in 1901. Little flower Hospital in Angamaly in famous N.H 47 and Railway cross throughAngamaly. M.C.Road begins from Angamaly.
